‘Topple the Patriarchy:’ Now We Know What Feminists Really Meant

January 7, 2026 – On December 15, a cultural revolution was unleashed in North America. That’s the day writer Jacob Savage published his stunning article, The Lost Generation. Savage revealed how Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs had become institutionalized and transformed corporate life (1).

As “White male” became the new cultural epithet, Savage documented the transformation that swept journalism, academia, medicine, and more. “In less than a decade, the entire face of the industry changed,” he recounted.

“Which raises some uncomfortable questions: Is the media more trusted now than a decade ago? Have these institutions become stronger since they systematically excluded an entire cohort—or did abandoning meritocracy accelerate their decline?” Savage tellingly asked.

Response to Savage’s exposé was immediate and visceral. Within days, six million persons had viewed his online article (2). And highly placed individuals spoke out:

Elon Musk deplored DEI as “a great wrong.” (3)
Vice President J.D. Vance described the article as an “incredible piece that describes the evil of DEI and its consequences.” (4)
Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Chairwoman Andrea Lucas urged, “Are you a white male who has experienced discrimination at work based on your race or sex? You may have a claim to recover money under federal civil rights laws. Contact the @USEEOC as soon as possible.” (5)

But the most passionate condemnation of the DEI regime came not from an American man, but from a Canadian woman, Janice Fiamengo. As a former academic, Fiamengo had observed the effects of “equity hiring” first hand (6).

Fiamengo revealed,

“I have spoken with many men about their sadness and anger at being passed over for opportunities and recognition.”
‘The fallout in substance abuse, screens addiction, nihilism, anger, loss of trust, and self-destruction has been massive, and is even now not being publicly confronted.”
“It was reflected in how attention was or was not paid, the casual misandry, the allowable jokes, the manner in which the entire culture turned against an agreed-upon target.”
“What is most urgently needed is a larger cultural renaissance in which the extraordinary achievements of white men will be fully recognized and honored.”
“White men have every right to be furious about what has been done to them in the countries their forefathers built.”

For years, feminists have proclaimed their intention to “topple the patriarchy.” Now we know, from first-hand experience, exactly what they intended to do.
