Gender Equality for Men: Efforts to Help Males Gain Momentum

July 23, 2026 — In the past week, three notable political developments highlighted a growing national trend to address the disadvantages facing American men:

Last Wednesday, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced a new Pentagon policy to screen service members 30 years and older for testosterone deficiency. Hegseth described the initiative as “restoring and optimizing your natural capabilities, protecting your longevity,” and keeping troops on the “leading edge of lethality” for combat readiness. (1)
Two days later, Sen. Mark Kelley (D-Arizona) and John Curtis (R-Utah) introduced the Building Community in America Act to promote public service among men (2).
Three days later on Monday, the Virginia Advisory Commission for Boys and Men (3) held its first meeting since its establishment in April. The hearing featured presentations on male educational under-achievement (4).

Men are lagging behind women on a broad range of indicators — from longevity to educational attainment, from occupational mortality to homelessness, and many others (5). Leaders in both parties are beginning to respond.

Here are key bills and actions taken in recent months in Congress and in states across the country:

Mental Health: On July 1, Maryland Gov. Moore issued an impassioned call for greater attention to men’s mental health. “States must lead in the effort to combat young men’s loneliness, despair, and disengagement,” he penned (6).

State of Men’s Health Act: The closely watched bill, HR 7602, would establish an Office of Men’s Health in the Department of Health and Human Services. The bill has 14 co-sponsors (7 Republicans and 7 Democrats). Currently DHHS maintains seven offices of women’s health — and none for men’s health.

Fatherhood and Maternal Health: In June, Congress introduced the Dads Matter Act, S. 2131 and H.R. 5828, to encourage expectant fathers to become more engaged in their partners’ pregnancies.

Shared Parenting: Shared parenting bills were recently enacted or signed into law in two states — Louisiana (HB 1239) and Mississippi (HB 1662). In the past 12 months similar bills have been introduced in 10 other states to create a rebuttable presumption of equal parenting time following divorce: Arizona, California, Colorado, Michigan, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Vermont, and Wyoming.

State-Level Executive Branch Actions: Governors have taken notable steps in recent months:

California: Gov. Newsom Gavin issued an Executive Order to support young men and boys. (7)
Maryland: A $19 million investment to support men to become school teachers (8).
Michigan: The first “Moving Michigan Males Forward” convening was held on December 3, 2025 (9).
Utah: On January 8, 2026, Gov. Spencer Cox convened a Men and Boys Well-being Symposium. (10).

For years, government programs have focused primarily on supporting women, which has increasingly left men at a disadvantage. Now, the principle of “gender equality” is being applied more evenly — for the benefit of men as well.

Feminists Amass Billions as They Spread Falsehoods About Medical Research

July 20, 2026 — This past Wednesday a group of women gathered in Washington, DC to propose a $20 billion, taxpayer-funded project to close the “woman’s health gap” (1). Inexplicably, no one at the event mentioned the most glaring health gap of all — the fact that men are dying five years sooner than women.

In attendance at the event was Dr. Vivian Pinn, former director of the NIH Office of Research on Women’s Health. Dr. Pinn was one of the women who had schemed to convince Congress that women’s health research was being shortchanged. “The exclusion of some women in clinical research may sometimes be valid, but not all the women all the time,” Pinn claimed, without evidence, in her widely-cited 1993 article (2).

After her misleading article was published, a group of citizens requested a meeting with Dr. Pinn in her NIH office. “The data don’t support your conclusion,” the group charged. In response, Dr. Pinn offered this implausible explanation: “They misquoted me.”

End of discussion.

In 2001, an in-depth analysis of NIH research concluded that in fact, Dr. Pinn had misrepresented the truth. It was men, not women who had been underrepresented in the NIH research portfolio (3).

Indeed, extensive analyses have been conducted to nail down the elusive “woman’s health gap.” Dr. James Nuzzo reviewed government records to analyze sex-specific participation in NIH research. He found from 1995 to 2022, women composed 58% of all participants in NIH clinical trials (4) – no female underrepresentation to be found there.

But these facts haven’t dissuaded women’s health advocates from continuing their fictitious campaign:

The National Strategy to Close the Women’s Health Gap, which is now seeking $20 billion from American taxpayers, asserts, “for decades [women’s] health needs across conditions and stages of life have been understudied and underserved.” (5)
The Society for Women’s Health Research claims on its website, “Historically, women have been underrepresented in clinical research.” (6)

Neither report provided any details to back up their representations, such as the dates of the purported exclusion, the affected diseases, and the degree of the underrepresentation. These important details were left to the fevered imagination of the feminist activists.

Now, the “excluded and under-represented” theme has become embedded into a broader social narrative. An AI search concludes, “The claim that women were ‘excluded’ or ‘underrepresented’ in NIH-funded (or broader biomedical) research appears thousands of times across academic literature, reports, news articles, and policy documents.” (7)

Women’s health researchers have profited handsomely from the falsehood. Since 1993, women’s health research-related spending has been in the range of $80–120 billion (7), Women’s health has enjoyed more than twice as much dedicated funding as men’s health: 14% vs. 6% of the total NIH budget (8).

Medical research is supposed to be dedicated to the unfettered quest for objective truth. It is outrageous and wrong that our society has allowed a group of partisans to usurp the women’s health agenda, while men are allowed to die five years before their time without a murmur of protest.

$20 Billion: Latest Scare-Tactic of the Women’s Health Lobby

July 13, 2026 — On nearly every health indicator, men are lagging behind women. Men are dying five years sooner, account for the vast majority of workplace deaths, and face suicide rates 3-4 times higher than women.

Despite these disparities, public health programs continue to devote far more resources to women’s health than to men’s health:

The federal Department of Health and Human Services maintains 7 offices of women’s health — and zero offices of men’s health (1).
Each year the National Institutes of Health allocates 2-3 times more funding for women’s research than men’s health research (2).
Every state public health department operates a program focused on women’s or maternal health, yet only three states – Illinois, Connecticut, and North Dakota – have offices of men’s health (3).

In past decades, women’s health advocates blocked efforts to address men’s health by claiming — falsely — that women had been “excluded” and “underrepresented” from medical research.

In 1993, the editor of the New England Journal of Medicine made the categorical – and spurious — claim that “There is little doubt that women have been systematically excluded as subjects for study.” And LaRosa and Pinn lamented, “The exclusion of some women from clinical studies may sometimes be valid, but not all the women all the time.” (4)

Subsequent analyses have thoroughly debunked these assertions. A Government Accountability Office report revealed, “GAO found that women were a majority of the clinical trial participants in the new drug applications (NDA) it examined, and that every NDA included enough women in the pivotal studies to be able to statistically demonstrate that the drug is effective in women.” More recent data show that women accounted for 58% of all participants in NIH-funded research over the past 28 years — clear evidence against claims of under-representation (5).

Today, momentum is building to establish the first-ever Office of Men’s Health in the Department of Health and Human Services. Legislation (H.R. 7602) has been introduced in Congress. And DHHS Assistant Secretary for Health Brian Christine has expounded on the “crisis” of men’s health (6).

Yet the women’s health lobby continues to promote the same discredited narrative. The Society for Women’s Health Research, for example, claims that women remain “often underrepresented and inadequately considered in medical and public health research.” (7)

On July 15, the group and its partners will publicly release a proposal in Washington, DC to close what they falsely call the “women’s health gap” — at an estimated cost of $20 billion to American taxpayers (8).

Americans rightly take pride in the world-class universities and research institutions located in the United States. It is troubling when advocacy organizations exploit false claims of “exclusion” and “under-representation” to justify imposing a $20 billion burden on taxpayers. A more balanced and evidence-based approach to public health programs is long overdue (9).

Democratic Socialist Leader: ‘Our goal is communism.’

July 6, 2026 — Following last November’s victory of Zohran Mamdani as mayor of New York City, democratic-socialism has gained visibility and momentum in the United States. The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) is the country’s largest socialist organization, currently with over 116,000 members.

However, many Americans remain skeptical. A Pew Research Center poll released last month found that 38% of Americans dislike political leaders who identify as democratic socialists, while only 17% like them. Among Democrats, 32% view such leaders favorably, 11% view them unfavorably, and a majority (56%) say they neither like nor dislike them (1).

What is “democratic socialism”? The Democratic Socialists of America vaguely describes its philosophy as “a system where ordinary people have a real voice in our workplaces, neighborhoods, and society.” The website goes on say the DSA is working for “single-payer Medicare for All, defunding the police/refunding communities, [and] the Green New Deal.” (2)

The DSA website also declares, “We want to collectively own the key economic drivers that dominate our lives, such as energy production and transportation.” “Collectively” generally means “government-owned.”

If any doubt remains about the DSA’s long-term goals, David Jenkins, a member of DSA’s National Political Committee, has publicly stated, “Our goal is liberation. Our goal is communism.” (3)

The DSA promotes feminist ideology and programs on several fronts:

Political Platform refers to DSA as a “socialist feminist organization.” (4)
The Queer & Feminist Commission (QFC) (5)
Numerous chapter-level feminist groups (6)
Educational initiatives such as “100 Days of Socialism: Socialist-Feminism” (7)

Democratic socialists will be on the ballot in numerous localities in November, including Nithya Raman in Los Angeles; Melat Kiros (CO-1); Rep. Rashida Tlaib (MI-12); Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14); Claire Valdez (NY-7); Darializa Avila Chevalier (NY-13); Chris Rabb (PA-3); and Janeese Lewis George in Washington, DC.

While the Democratic Socialists of America has faced strong criticism, only a handful of Democrats have signed the Promise to America pledge declaring, “we are capitalist, not socialist.” (8)

The future influence of the Democratic Socialists of America will likely depend on the level of opposition from mainstream Democrats, and by the response of voters in November.

Wave of Socialist Hatred Surges Across the Land

July 1, 2026 — Scott Wiener is a member of the Jewish Faith and prominent Democratic activist. On June 26 he walking through a San Francisco park near his home.

Suddenly Wiener was surrounded by a group of progressive anti-Zionist protesters. They hurled epithets at him, accusing him of being a “genocidal piece of shit,” yelled “we f*cking hate you,” and gave him middle-finger gestures. The entire incident was captured on videotape (1).

In response, numerous groups denounced the incident as hateful and unacceptable (2).

Sadly, the San Francisco incident was only one of the many antisemitic incidents across the United States in recent weeks (3).

Recent months also have witnessed a wave of campus incidents by far-left activist groups that engaged in occupations of buildings, property defacement, and confrontations with campus administrators. In early June, federal prosecutors indicted eight activists affiliated with the University of Michigan on charges of threats, harassment, and vandalism (4).

In Minnesota, 15 Antifa-linked persons were charged for conducting a sustained campaign of violence against law enforcement officials. The alleged incidents include harassment, barricading, and the sideswiping of a federal vehicle (5).

The feminist loathing of men is another facet of progressive disdain. For example, the term “toxic masculinity” has been designated as hate speech (6). But feminists continue to use the term as an acceptable form of social discourse.

Later this summer, I Shot Andy Warhol will return to movie theaters. The movie glorifies the near-fatal gun attack by feminist Valerie Solanas on artist Andy Warhol. In her recent newspaper interview, director Mary Harron says not a word about Solanas’ anti-male hatred. Indeed, Harron admits her admiration for Solanas because of “all my years catering to the pathetic male ego.” (7)

Commenting on the impending movie release, columnist Janice Fiamengo explores the broader problem of feminist hatred, deploring the “enduring feminist fascination with violent, man-hating women.” (8)

Even Democratic candidates for political office have indulged in the hateful rhetoric:

Michigan: Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed once charged, “America deserved 9/11.” (9)
New York: Darializa Avila Chavalier, who recently won the primary election in NY-13, once accused Black and Arab men for being “Fetishizing ugly colonizer women.” (10)
Texas: In San Antonio, Maureen Galindo charged the local Jewish leadership has “dominant economic and political (& media) power that is very real, harmful, and should be named and criticized.” (11)

To date, the Democrats who have spoken out against the hateful incidents remain few and far between (12). Hopefully the wave of socialist hatred will come to a prompt end.

Women Are Some of the Strongest Supporters of Men’s Health

June 15, 2026 — June is Men’s Health Month, and it’s a time to reflect on a disturbing paradox: Even though men die five years sooner than women, the federal government currently has seven offices of women’s health, and zero offices of men’s health.

In Congress, lawmakers are debating passage of the State of Men’s Health Act, H.R. 7602, that would create the first federal Office of Men’s Health (1). And state lawmakers are reviewing the recent American Medical Association resolution calling on public health departments to establish offices of men’s health (2).

But conspicuously absent from the debate is how ending premature male mortality will also benefit women and wives. Research shows that widowhood imposes a heavy emotional, financial, and health toll on women:

Emotional and psychological trauma from bereavement: The sudden or early loss of a husband triggers intense grief, depression, loneliness, and anxiety. The Stanford Center on Longevity research highlights that women experience higher rates of sadness and psychological distress that can last for years (3).

Increased burdens of daily living: Widows often assume sole responsibility for household management, finances, and decision-making previously shared with a partner. This shift compounds their physical and cognitive loads (4).
Higher out-of-pocket medical expenditures: Bereavement often causes increased healthcare needs for the surviving spouse. Studies show increases in medical spending, as widows oversee their own health declines (5).
22% decline in income: Widowhood substantially raises the likelihood of falling into poverty. The Social Security Administration reports that women frequently experience income drops (around 22% in early years) and wealth depletion, with many falling into poverty (6).
Three times greater risk of being admitted to a nursing home: Losing a spouse dramatically increases the risk of institutionalization. Finnish and U.S. studies document hazard ratios exceeding three in the first month after bereavement (7).
48% greater mortality risk: Becoming widowed is associated with a 48% increase in mortality risk, according to Health and Retirement Study analyses. The loss of social support, shared resources, and companionship contributes to higher death rates among widows (8).

Evie Magazine columnist Lisa Britton reveals, “Our fathers, husbands, sons, and brothers continue to die earlier, suffer more, and receive far less institutional concern about their health than women.” (9)

The Myth of Patriarchy and the Media Fixation with Andrew Tate

June 18, 2026 — Vilified by the international media as the epitome of masculine power, Andrew Tate has been harshly criticized for his views of women (1). But Tate’s reputation as a “cultural influencer” of young men is now being challenged.

Early surveys found that Tate was viewed as a positive role model by only a minority of young men (2). And now, Tate’s limited influence is on the wane.

A 2025 study conducted in the UK found that teenagers described Tate as “dead” or “just a meme now.” (3) More recently, a survey of American men ages 19-29 found that Tate ranked dead last in his appeal to young men (4).

So how did the media become so fixated with Andrew Tate?

In 1970, feminist Kate Millett published Sexual Politics, which framed patriarchy as society’s most fundamental and pervasive concept of power. She claimed that “every avenue of power within the society, including the coercive force of the police, is entirely in male hands.”

But in singling out the “coercive force of the police,” Millett revealed her naiveté about the workings of the criminal system. Research from around the world shows when men and women commit the same crime, the man is more likely to be arrested, charged, and convicted (5). And the woman is let off with the proverbial “slap of the wrist.”

Now it’s time to ask the basic question, “Is there really such a thing as ‘patriarchy’ in Western societies?”

Scientific studies and government surveys reveal that around the world, men are lagging behind women in numerous ways (6):

Lifespan and mental health: Men die approximately five years earlier than women worldwide.
Education: Women now outpace men in college enrollments.
Workplace safety: Men account for 92–95% of workplace fatalities in major industrial economies.
Incarceration: Roughly 10.9 million men are imprisoned worldwide, while female prisoners number less than one million.
Child labor: Boys make up the majority of children engaged in hazardous child labor.
Homelessness: Men comprise an estimated 76% of the global homeless population.
Media framing: A 2006 analysis found that 69% of news coverage of men was unfavorable.

If there really is such a thing as “patriarchy,” we must agree that the all-powerful patriarchs have done a rather poor job in their quest to advantage men.

Five-Year Life Expectancy Gap Faces Hostility and Neglect

June 8, 2026 — Men around the world die approximately five years earlier than women — a persistent human cost that receives far less attention than comparable disparities affecting other groups. This gap constitutes a profound public health and human rights failure that compromises the economic productivity of nations around the world (1).

Despite men’s significantly shorter lifespans, along with dramatically higher male suicide rates (typically 3–4 times those of women) and workplace deaths, health policy and cultural discourse remain heavily skewed. National and international initiatives overwhelmingly prioritize women’s health while male vulnerability is often minimized, pathologized, or ignored.

Radical feminist voices have contributed to this climate by framing men as a problem to be fixed or ignored. In her 1967 SCUM Manifesto, Valerie Solanas declared: “Retaining the male has not even the dubious purpose of reproduction.” Sally Miller Gearhart proposed in 1982 that “The proportion of men must be reduced to and maintained at approximately 10% of the human race.” In 1999, Mary Daly argued that planetary survival would require “a drastic reduction of the population of males.” (2)

These ideas echo in modern social media discussions. Following the 2024 U.S. election, TikTok creator melaninmaven97 welcomed the prospect of men “offing” or “deleting” themselves. Podcaster Brad Polumbo criticized the woman’s hateful remarks, concluding that TikTok has become a “dark and toxic place.” (3)

In discussions of male suicide on Instagram, comments such as “Rates not high enough” (over 6,800 likes) and “Please up the rates” (over 3,300 likes) have drawn significant approval. (4)

The phrase “Kill all men” appears regularly in the Femosphere, with estimates of low thousands to tens of thousands of Twitter posts in May 2026 alone — rhetoric that rarely triggers enforcement under X’s gender-neutral Hateful Conduct policy (5).

These cultural patterns give rise to striking policy imbalances:

According to the World Health Organization’s 2023 SRMNCAH survey, 92% of responding countries maintain national strategies addressing women’s sexual, reproductive, maternal, and adolescent health (6). By comparison, only a small number of countries (such as Australia, Ireland, and Brazil) have developed dedicated national men’s health strategies (7).
The United States maintains seven federal offices dedicated to women’s health — and zero for men’s health (8).

Andrzej Łobaczewski, the Polish psychiatrist who analyzed totalitarian psychology in Political Ponerology, warned how ideological systems can render the suffering of designated out-groups invisible (9). Certain strains of contemporary feminism have fostered a climate in which male suffering elicits indifference or even satisfaction from some voices.

A five-year life expectancy gap is not a minor statistical footnote — it is a human rights travesty affecting half the world’s population. Boys and men also face disadvantages in education, family courts, and mental health support.

June is Men’s Health Month. Policymakers and health organizations should promptly establish dedicated men’s health offices and strategies, enforce content policies on social media, and promote approaches that value the lives and well-being of men and women equally.

Democrats Hit With Double-Dose of Bad News About Male Voters

WASHINGTON / May 27, 2026 – Last week was a spectacularly bad one for members of the Democratic party.

First, the Quinnipiac poll revealed on Wednesday that Congressional Democrats are garnering only a 16% job approval from American men (1).

Overall, the poll found that only 20% of registered voters approve of the way Democrats are handling their job in Congress. The male respondents likely were responding to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, who has become famous for making laughable claims such as her recent gaffe that Venezuela lies “below the equator.”

Many of AOC’s inflammatory remarks have targeted men (2):

“Misogyny transcends political ideology: left, right, center. This grip of patriarchy affects all of us, not just women.”
“Men suffer from being under patriarchy. They don’t go to the doctor. They suffer from much higher rates of completed suicides.”
“‘Boys will be boys.’ Is that also the reason why you’ve chosen to block the Violence Against Women Act too, Mitch McConnell?”

The second dose of bad news arrived the very next day. The Democratic National Committee released the autopsy of its failed 2024 presidential campaign (3), in which Donald Trump won a majority of all votes cast and handily carried all seven swing states.

The 192-page DNC document – replete with typos, missing footnotes, and non-sequiturs — admitted that the “national campaign had a specific problem with male voters….Harris saw dramatic drops in support among young Latino men and young Black men compared to Biden’s 2020 performance.” (4)

The document concluded that male voters “require direct engagement. The gender gap can be narrowed. Deploy male messengers, address economic concerns, and don’t assume identity politics will hold male voters of color.”

Inexplicably, the DNC report made no mention of the hot-button issues that are likely to engage male voters, such as inflation, gas prices, or religion. In fact, the entire report refused to even mention the words, “white men.”

Recent data show men hold stronger pro-family values than women. Compared to women, men are more likely to view marriage positively (38% vs. 22%), aspire to parenthood (57% vs. 45%), and prefer larger families (48% vs. 37%). Men also exhibit lower rates of marital infidelity and divorce initiation. (5)

If Democrats seriously aspire to reconnect with male voters, above all they need to reconsider their long-standing embrace of feminist ideology.

Negative views of feminism are on the upswing. Last month, Evie Magazine published an article titled, “Hating Men Isn’t Improving Your Life.” Commentator Lisa Britton declared bluntly, “Female-led misandry is mainstream, and it’s in our schools, our media, our Hollywood blockbusters, and our university lecture halls. Podcasts hosted by women casually trash men as toxic, incompetent, sexist or irredeemable…The hatred isn’t just on the fringes. It’s everywhere.” (6)

Democrats need to make major changes, or brace for yet another round of stunning losses this coming November.

Delusional: Lawsuit Demands NY Courts Discriminate Against Fathers in Child Custody Cases

WASHINGTON / May 22, 2026 – A group calling itself “The Women’s Coalition” filed a federal lawsuit earlier this week in New York State. Forty-one named women, joined by 100 unnamed Jane Does, are asking a federal judge to rule that New York’s family courts discriminate against mothers in child custody cases (1).

Feminist activists are calling the case a civil rights breakthrough — a claim that is directly contradicted by the evidence.

Tender Years Doctrine in Disguise. The Complaint argues that mothers are almost always a child’s primary bond and caregiver, and that any ruling which fails to weigh this factor heavily is “discriminatory” (1). This is the “tender years doctrine” in all but name — the old rule that mothers should automatically get custody of young children. New York courts abandoned this doctrine 50 years ago as illegal sex discrimination (2). The U.S. Supreme Court has been equally clear: Under Craig v. Boren, no state may favor one sex over the other without clearing a high constitutional bar (3).

Mothers Already Receive the Lion’s Share of Custody. The U.S. Census Bureau reports that 80% of the nation’s 12.9 million custodial parents are mothers (4). An 80-to-20 outcome cannot be considered as evidence of bias against mothers.

Discredited Research. The Complaint relies heavily on a 2020 study by Joan Meier, which claims that mothers raising abuse allegations are “discredited” 59% to 98% of the time (1). That study has been strongly criticized for selection bias, miscoded cases, and methods that pre-load its conclusions. The leading rebuttal is Lorandos and Bernet’s Parental Alienation: Science and Law, the standard reference work in the field (5).

Constitutional Inversion. The Plaintiffs ask the court to apply “strict scrutiny” — the most rigorous constitutional test — but only against fathers (1). They want sex discrimination to be forbidden when it hurts mothers, and required when it helps them. The Fourteenth Amendment does not work that way (3).

The Complaint’s other main sources are a 1986 New York task force report and a 2002 California NOW pamphlet (1) — 40 and 24 years old, respectively.

In short, the Complaint asks a federal court to discriminate against fathers as the cost of “equal protection” for mothers — and to do so while citing antiquated and discredited reports. Such delusional claims demonstrate feminism’s preference for a gynocentric narrative over data and evidence.
