LESLIE COUNTY, Ky. — A Kentucky woman says a Facebook selfie photo helped to save her life, according to WKYT.

selfiefoxAccording to the report, Susann Stacy was assaulted by her husband after he heard her on the phone with another man in the bathroom of their Leslie County home.

Stacy was beaten with a handgun and her husband then ripped the phone line out from their home phone so she could not call police. Worse still, Stacy had no cell phone reception either, but she did have WiFi.

She turned to social media for help, posting a photo of her badly beaten and bloodied face to Facebook with the words “Help…. please anyone.”

The plea for help made its way to local law enforcement, who responded to the home. Stacy’s husband, Donnie Stacy, had left the home but was located a short distance away and arrested.

The handgun used in the assault was later found on the couple’s property.
