Police: Woman Indicted, Molested Teen at Gwinnett County Shelter
July 26, 2012
GWINNETT COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) – A woman was indicted last week by the Gwinnett County grand jury on one count of child molestation.
The 14-year-old victim told police she was staying at a domestic violence shelter in Gwinnett County with her mother when the incident happened.
During her stay at the shelter, she made a phone call to a counseling hotline. In a conversation she told the counselor she was upset because Shannon Bowles, 22, was avoiding her, according to reports.
The victim told police she was in a relationship with Bowles.
On January 28, an officer arrested Bowles for child molestation. Her phone was taken for evidence.
Bowles was released on bond three days after her arrest.
