Man wounded in domestic violence incident in Kilpatrick

A man is in Huntsville Hospital with a gunshot wound after a domestic violence incident Saturday in Kilpatrick, according to a news release from DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris.

Deputies responded about 9:30 p.m. Saturday to an incident call involving a brother and sister, according to the release. A weapon was involved and discharged, and the male subject was wounded in the chest,

No arrests have been made in the case and no names have been released. Harris said investigators are continuing to interview witnesses and plan to interview the victim as soon as he is able. Their findings will be presented to the district attorney when the investigation is complete.
