The US Department of Justice has released an audit of Jane Doe, also known as the Massachusetts Coalition Against Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence. The audit concludes:

“We determined Jane Doe did not fully comply with the essential grant requirements we tested. We found internal control weaknesses, untimely progress reports, unsupported and unallowable payroll expenditures, unallowable bonus payments, and unallowable and unreasonable expenditures for conferences. Additionally, a contractor performing grant funded services was not effectively monitored and Jane Doe did not comply with all of the grants’ special conditions. Because of the deficiencies identified, we are questioning $638,298, or about 47 percent, of the grant funds.”
