Felon arrested in Novato, accused of sawing through mother-in-law’s front door

A convicted felon was arrested after allegedly threatening to kill his mother-in-law before breaking into her Novato home when she wasn’t there by sawing through the front door…

…there were two criminal protective orders prohibiting Khiev from coming to her home. She accused him of threatening her earlier in the day, and feared he’d come back and try to kill her, police said.

About an hour after the incident, a Marin County Sheriff’s Deputy spotted Khiev on foot near Diablo Avenue and George Street, where he was taken into custody by Novato Police officers.
