Marinwood man arrested in domestic violence, freeway ramming case

…The victim told deputies that her boyfriend confronted and physically attacked her at their home on Grande Paseo around 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Marin sheriff’s Lt. Barry Heying said.

After the altercation, the victim and her adult daughter drove south on Highway 101 in a gray Pontiac Grand Am, hoping to get help from the California Highway Patrol at a nearby truck weighing station, Heying said. The daughter was behind the wheel.

However, the boyfriend followed the car in a tan Toyota Tundra pickup truck and rammed it from behind three times between the Marinwood and Merrydale Avenue exits, Heying said.

The women traveled at speeds of 75 to 85 mph in their attempt to escape, passing other cars, he said. They stopped near the Lincoln Avenue exit after losing sight of the boyfriend and reported the assault to police.

The Pontiac was damaged but neither woman suffered injuries, Heying said…
