In Marion, the domestic violence workers at Turning Point are very busy.

Clients are coming from 6 different counties trying to get their lives back.

As the sole domestic violence shelter for these counties, Turning Point is packed with women and their children.

They are armed with some new tools in the fight.

The Two Days in May conference just wrapped up and Turning Point was well represented.

Now they are back and putting that knowledge to use.

Funding hasn’t been easy to come by.

The shelter has lost hundreds of thousands of dollars, but won’t let that stop their ultimate goal.

Giving the abused a safe place to get things back on track, that is what they strive to do.

There are some success stories too.

You will hear from a woman who beat they cycle of abuse.

She tells her story tonight on NBC4 at 5.
