The Antelope Valley Domestic Violence Council (AVDVC) in Los Angeles County, California has been serving domestic violence victims and their children since 1980. The AVDVC has made a significant impact on the way DV services are provided to victims and families. Its flexible, innovative approach to domestic violence intervention is a model for DV agencies across the nation.
Offering in-office assistance and intervention services, as well as safe housing in the Valley Oasis Shelter, the AVDVC has provided essential services to the community for 30 years. The organization has consistently demonstrated success, offering services for all victims regardless of gender, culture or sexual orientation; services are provided by dedicated staff, consisting of both men and women.

Contact information as well as practical advice are also provided on the website, which is inclusive of anyone in need of help, providing an important internet outreach to the public.
